Harvest Festival

Is it safe to go trick or treating Door to Door?  For my family we’ve chosen not to do this, for starters there are not that many kids in our neighborhood or our street even though we live right behind an elementary school.  While our neighborhood is relatively safe, we choose to go to our Church’s Harvest festival.  It’s a great alternative to trick or treating.  Many churches do this now.  Kids come dressed in non scary costumes, and go from booth to booth trying the games.  The kids will always get candy and their “Prize”.  It’s a great outreach for church families to bring their friends.

We went to our first Harvest Festival last year.  Our daughter was 3yrs and our son was 1.5 yrs.  We went from booth to booth, many games were for older kids but we just helped our kids.  They got the candy and were totally excited.  This year the kids are older and this will be so much more fun especially for our littlest one. My two are going as Jesse and Woody from Toy Story.    Hope you all try out your local churches Harvest Festivals they really are the best alternative to door to door trick or treating…
