Count Down to Halloween

Advent Calendar for HalloweenItems needed – white pen / pencil for marking out the squares, white paint, 31 Halloween buttons, felt 14 x 17 (any color you want but may we suggest purple, black or green) and self adhesive VelcroFirst mark out 31 squares on the felt fabric (just like on your calendar now).  Use the white paint over the squares you’ve just made.  Number them 1 thru 31.

With the buttons that you’ve purchased try and take off the round backing if there is one. Cut up the Velcro to fit the buttons. Stick the stiff side to the button so that when you place it on the felt it will stick.  Let the paint dry.  When it’s done drying put a button in each square.  As the days go buy put the button at the top of the calendar.  The kids will like this idea because they get to help with marking the days off. At the top of the calendar you can draw a house and the kids then can put the buttons in the windows, or out front.
